Top 3 Tips for Futures Brides
1. Have someone available that can stitch your bustle up because bustle loops on the dresses do not hold. My bustle broke almost immediately and my mom had to try to pin it up so it would stay bustled the rest of the night.
2. Have a bridal portrait done of just you in your dress right before the ceremony or prior to your wedding day.
3. Hire a videographer to film your wedding. Trust me, you won’t regret it!!

Special Touch
The wedding location is what made my wedding extra special and memorable! Please see Wedding Location description below!

The Best Thing about the day:
It would truly be impossible to pick one “best” thing about my wedding day because it was all so beautiful and wonderful. I felt like I was in a fairytale when I was walking down the aisle! The weather was perfect, the birds were chirping, the flute trio was playing softly and I was surrounded by all my closest family and friends. Most importantly I was walking towards the man I loved and was going to marry. If I had to pick one thing that I was most impressed with it would have to be my wedding cake. All I could do when I first saw it was stand there in sheer amazement of how awesome it was!

What went wrong
The only thing was the bustle on my dress not holding.

The Location:
Our wedding took place at the home where I grew up and always dreamed of getting married in since I was a little girl. It was truly amazing and I could not imagine anything better! This home was a place where I had always felt secure and had so many wonderful memories growing up. I guess you could say that I truly had the wedding of my dreams.

The Planning:
My husband and I got engaged on Easter weekend so we only had a little over 5 months to get everything planned. My mom was the best. She helped with everything from picking out my wedding dress, deciding which vendors to use, to designing the awesome black and white diamond patterned floor for the beautiful reception tent in the backyard.

Theme:
Elegant Formal Garden Setting

Décor:
Gorgeous flower wreaths hung on the front door and black iron gate. Beautiful flower pomanders hung on shepherd’s hooks that lined the brick walkway and a rustic antique iron easel held a hand written sign that invited guests to “Join us in the Garden” which led them to the ceremony spot in the backyard. Twinkle lights flickered in the pear trees surrounding the oval lawn adorned with 157 white chairs, each with a pink paper cone of flower petals hanging on the back and the ceremony aisle was sprinkled with pink and white rose petals. White sheer fabric eloquently draped in the trees created the ceremony backdrop and the flute trio’s music fell softly upon the crowd from a balcony overlooking the patio. During the cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony, guests were served French 75’s, Remy Red Martini’s and helped themselves to the seafood appetizer table loaded with jumbo shrimp chilling on a tiered monogrammed ice sculpture. As guests entered the reception tent and made their way to their dinner tables they passed by two huge engagement pictures propped on matching iron easels. Each dinner table was softly draped with an apple green table cloth and a stone urn filled with fresh flowers located in the center. The tent featured a white sheer fabric draped ceiling, twinkle lights, two large iron chandeliers and a black and white hand painted diamond patterned floor. It was truly breathtaking!

Flowers:
Green and white hydrangeas, white garden roses, pink spray roses, white dahlias, tuberose, green and white lisianthus, gardenias and white lilies.

Menu:
Beef Tenderloin with Salsa Verde
Caramelized Salmon Fillets
Roasted Butternut Squash Ravioli with Walnut Cream Sauce
Spinach Salad with caramelized, dried cranberries, goat cheese and fried shallot rings
Grilled and Roasted Fall Vegetables
White Cheddar Scalloped Potatoes

Cake:
The cake had to be my favorite! It was adorned with fresh fruit and flowers, tiny ladybugs and butterflies, gold laced icing on the scalloped edged cake layers, small gold cherubs, as well as lattice and other intricate garden details. It was truly exquisite!

Favors:
A small clear envelope of Forget Me Knot Seeds were tied on a pink scalloped card with a short poem beneath it and a white vellum overlay. We also gave guests white monogrammed matchboxes, each with a few silver sparklers tied to them with white ribbon. The quests lined the front walk of the house with their sparklers lit to see the bride and groom off!

Rehearsal Dinner:
The Classic Cup Cellar

Honeymoon Location:
Cabo San Lucus, Mexico
